Steven Adam Markowitz, more famous by his stage name Hoodie Allen, is an American rapper, songwriter and singer. As a child he would pen down lyrics and perform raps for friends at house parties. Moving on he graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and started working at Google. While pursuing with his professional endeavours at Google, he continued to take forward his passion for music that saw him writing songs, answering fan emails, and scheduling concerts till the wee hours at night. Juggling between his profession and passion, Markowitz eventually chose to pursue a full-time music career and left the Google job. He garnered early success when his first official EP titled ‘All American’ debuted at #10 on the Billboard 200. It clinched the top position on the iTunes charts within hours of its release. A couple of years later he came up with his debut studio album, ‘People Keep Talking’ that only furthered his fame debuting at #8 on the Billboard 200.
